We are sorry the building the museum was going to occupy got dry rot so we are homeless for now However with guidance from the Leisure & Recreation Department of Perth and Kinross Council, the Trustees have devised a collecting policy that reflects the strengths of the existing collection of material which comprises items from the Marshall Bequest and material gifted in subsequent years. The Trustees are currently working on a plan to reopen the Museum in the proposed Community School which is scheduled to open in 2007. This page should be the natural starting point for any one wishing to carry out research into ourarea's history. Please note that some of the documents linked to are at present merely text only, with no links or in-built search facility, so locating specific information may be, by necessity, a tedious process. (As it would be with paper documents!) We hope to remedy this situation in future with a fully indexed, searchable database. |
