The Kinross-shire & Glenfarg Civic Trust have provide this page to inform and advise on the progress of the Kinross Area Local Plan 

Some Key Points: 
(1) Community Hospital at Lethangie 
(2) Timeshare/leisure development at Cavelstone Farm 
(3) 7.6 ha new Industrial/Business land
(4) Provision of land for some 1000 houses in Kinross-shire. 
(5) Removal of "Area of Great Landscape Value" from east of Loch Leven

The purpose of the Local Plan is to provide local guidance on the sort of development that is considered appropriate for the Kinross-shire area and where this should take place over the next 10 years. 
Copies of the draft plan can be inspected free of charge at the Kinross Library and council offices in Kinross, where it also may be purchased for £10. The period of public consultation runs until June 2nd. 

The council has arranged the following evening meetings to present the plan and answer any questions on the plan. 

Tuesday       April 25  Lomond Country Inn, Kinnesswood. 
Thursday     April 27  Kinross Town Hall. 
Tuesday       May    2  Crook of Devon Village Hall. 
Thursday     May    4   Blairingone Primary School.
Tuesday       May   9   Milnathort Primary School. 
Wednesday  May 10   Mowbray Hall Powmill. 
Tuesday       May 16   Cleish Village Hall. 

Doors will open at 6.30 p.m. to view a small exhibition and the meetings will start at 7.30 p.m.   Further information on the Plan can be obtained from Peter Marshall on 01738 475384 at PKDC, 2 High Street, Perth, PH1  5PH.

            policy implementation through legislative or procedural change. 
  PLANNING ADVICE NOTES (PANs) provide advice on good practice and other
            relevant information.
